Access conditions: You will need to obtain a Reader's Ticket the first time you visit the PRO to gain access to the collections. Tickets are valid for three years from date of issue and can only be processed if you bring proof of identity (e.g. UK driver's licence, passport, cheque card or credit card, etc.). Visitors can use the facilities of the Microfilm Reading Room, Research Enquiries Room, Map and Large Document Room, and Resource Centre and Library. Original documents can be consulted in the Document Reading Room, which opens from 9.30am Monday-Saturday (10.00am on Tuesdays).
