National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery
The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery at Queen Square, London, which now forms part of the University College London Hospitals NHS Trust, has developed an international reputation for the treatment of patients, the teaching of doctors and other health-care professionals, and for research into neurological diseases. The Hospital’s aim, in association with the Institute of Neurology, is to develop and maintain an unrivaled concentration of experience and expertise in the treatment of patients with neurological illness.
The main site at Queen Square contains some of the most up-to-date inpatient and outpatient facilities, providing a complete range of diagnostic and treatment services for patients with neurological problems. In addition, the Hospital offers a pioneering, patient-focused neuro-rehabilitation service. The Hospital also supports the Assessment Unit at the National Society for Epilepsy Centre at Chalfont St Peter, Buckinghamshire. The diversity of neurological conditions treated by the Hospital supports a wide range of clinical research and allows the co-ordinated clinical and scientific training of doctors and professionals allied to medicine.
