- Title: Bexley Local Studies and Archive Centre
- Description: Bexley Local Studies and Archive Centre is a public reference library with a large archive collection of original material relating to the London Borough of Bexley. The records of the council and its predecessor authorities are housed at the centre, along with local history resources for the following constituent areas: Erith, Sidcup, Crayford, Thamesmead, Welling, East Wickham, Bexley, Bexleyheath, North Cray and Foots Cray.
Records relating to the history of Black and Asian peoples in the area are found throughout the general holdings. Key sources include the collection of local newspapers (dating from 1869 onwards), government and parish records from 1538, and a photographic collection comprising c.22, 000 images of the local area. The centre is also developing archival collections about the history of Goan peoples in Bexley and the borough's Sikh communities, deposited by local residents.
