CONTENT AND STRUCTURE AREA
Scope and content: Collection comprises certificates of discharge, contribution books for the National Union of Seamen, and receipts and correspondence. Part of the collection relates to Charles Williams (or Reece) born 1883. Records include his certificates of Nationality and Identity issues to a British Colonial Seamen. Also included in the collection is a certificate of Naturalisation issued in 10 May 1938, relating to Mustapha Hassan (b.1896), a duplicate declaration dated 4 June 1938 relating to Agnes Lucy Hassan (wife of Mustapha Hassan) and a letter from the Home Office in regards to matters. Also in the collection are documents and correspondence relating to the purchase of property (10 & 11 Christina Street). Also included in the collection is a Merchant Navy Badge.
