Scope and content: File comprises lists of teacher resignations, and teacher appointments, (including date and subject areas). Also contains details of the response by the Department of Education to the Circular related to 'Education of Immigrant Children' (14.6.65). The circular deals with the children's welfare, the teaching of English to students, administrative matters, adult immigrants and teacher training Also of note is a document entitled, ' Remedial Teaching Service and the 'Immigrant problem' dated September 1965 which discusses Asian and West Indian people in Wolverhampton, language problems, the development of the Remedial Teaching Service, and its proposed development (October 1965).
